Odaseva, a Paris-based SaaS company delivering secure data management for Salesforce environments, is seeking a senior data engineer. You will design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines for large-scale data lake ingestion, leveraging Spark, Databricks, Snowflake and AWS.

You’ll contribute to a lakehouse architecture with Delta Lake or Iceberg, focusing on security-by-design and cost optimization. Based in Paris with a 3/2 hybrid schedule, the role is full-time permanent and demands

Qualificações

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering or backend data platforms with at least 3 years hands-on building and operating big data pipelines.
• Proven track record handling large volumes of data (hundreds of TB).
• Deep knowledge of at least one data lake platform (Databricks, Snowflake, or AWS Redshift).
• Strong Spark, lakehouse table formats (Delta Lake or Iceberg), Python/Java, SQL, and cloud infra (AWS S3, Athena, Glue).
• Knowledge of cost management, data security, governance, and data modeling.
• Equivalent engineering degree or Master’s in CS/Data Science/Applied Math.
• Fluent in English and French with strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, handle, and monitor Spark data pipelines for large-volume data lake ingestion (hundreds of TB).
• Continuously optimize performance, reliability, and costs of big data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Leverage Databricks, Snowflake, and AWS services for scalable data engineering.
• Demonstrate expertise in Delta Lake or Apache Iceberg lakehouse tables.
• Apply security-by-design, governance, and compliance across storage, compute, and sharing layers.
