A leading company is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join their R&D team in Paris. The role involves processing large sets of data using advanced technologies like Spark and Hadoop, requiring at least 5 years experience and a Master’s degree in Computer Science. The engineer will work in a collaborative environment, focusing on innovative data solutions while enjoying a flexible hybrid work policy.
Create high-quality, maintainable code that processes and analyzes nearly a million events daily (and doubling every year).
Utilize one of the largest private Hadoop clusters in the world and a cutting-edge suite of technologies that push the limits of modern data processing.
Design and optimize data models that isolate signals in the noise of real-world data, enabling challenging tasks for fellow engineers.
Improve the quality of our most valuable datasets, including fraud detection and low-relevance data filtering.
In a team of 5-7 members, work closely with your mentor to drive your project, design solutions, and ensure best practices are followed. Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions, workshops, and actively voice your ideas. Learn to build and deploy quality code into production, impacting millions of users instantly.
Who You Are :
At least 5 years of experience developing and extending large, complex systems.
Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Familiar with the technical stack: Spark, Hadoop, Hive, Scala, and experience with Object-Oriented Programming languages such as C#, Python, C++, or Java.
Curious about innovative technologies and willing to lead personal projects in this domain.
Positive attitude and collaborative problem-solving skills.
Experience working in Agile environments and a passion for shipping high-quality code.
Proficient in English (at least B2 intermediate).
