In this role, you will work within Veson Nautical’s Shipfix division. Shipfix leverages advanced technology to streamline maritime operations and enhance collaboration across the shipping ecosystem. The Opportunity:

As a Backend Software Engineer, you will be responsible for evaluating all the company's customer data, transforming it into a valuable tool for creating value. You'll play a key role in ramping up our Data applications for our innovative solutions.

Our Stack:

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of proven experience in a backend development or related role

• Expertise in Python and Elixir or similar technologies, with a strong track record of developing scalable and efficient backend systems

• Hands-on experience with microservice architecture and related tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, GraphQL, and RESTful APIs, ensuring robust and scalable application design

• Familiarity with GCP (Google Cloud Platform), BigQuery, and PostgreSQL, advantageous for leveraging cloud services and managing large-scale data

• Experience with Elasticsearch is a plus, contributing to enhanced data indexing and search capabilities

• Strong team spirit with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in both French and English, facilitating effective collaboration in multicultural environments

• Interest or background in the shipping industry is beneficial, demonstrating enthusiasm and alignment with the company's focus
