Gramian Consultancy partners with a Big4 consultancy to deliver AI-driven transformation for leading financial institutions. You will design and build scalable microservices and backend APIs, integrating AI systems with enterprise data and cloud services.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years of backend experience with Python/Node.js, REST/GraphQL, RBAC and CI/CD. This Europe-based contractor role runs Oct 2026–Jul 2027 with possible extensions and requires fluent English.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of backend, platform, or software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on development with Python and/or Node.js.
• Experience building scalable, secure cloud-based applications.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL APIs.
• Hands-on authentication, authorization, and RBAC experience.
• Experience integrating apps with cloud-hosted services and data platforms.
• Strong Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and code review practices.
• Fluent professional English.

About The Role

Our client is a Big4 Consultancy group that works with leading financial institutions on AI-driven transformation, automation, advanced analytics, and financial crime prevention. Their work spans intelligent fraud detection, AML/KYC modernization, autonomous workflows, enterprise AI platforms, and the secure industrialization of AI in highly regulated environments.

CONTRACT: Contractor assignment, expected October 2026 - July 2027, with extensions to other projects

COMMITMENT: Full-time

LOCATIONS: Europe-based, EU-authorized

PROCESS: Initial qualification followed by technical and client interviews

NOTES: Fluent English is required.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• 5-10 years of professional backend, platform, or software engineering experience
• Strong hands-on development experience with Python and/or Node.js
• Proven experience building scalable, resilient, and secure cloud-based applications
• Strong experience designing RESTful or GraphQL APIs and microservices
• Hands-on experience with enterprise authentication, authorization, and RBAC
• Professional experience integrating applications with cloud-hosted services, APIs, and data platforms
• Strong development practices including Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and code review
• Fluent professional English
