ZigZag France is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer (Backend & Infrastructure) to shape the strategy and execution of our post‑purchase and returns platform. You will own backend reliability, drive scalable infrastructure, and partner with squads to deliver robust services across GCP and Kubernetes.

You’ll mentor teams, refine engineering practices, and ensure performance and security. The role offers hybrid work in Paris or remote options within France and a chance to influence our growing product

Qualifications

• Experience in cloud architecture and infrastructure with focus on scalability and reliability.
• Strong Ruby on Rails background with server-side expertise.
• Ability to manage incidents and improve observability and monitoring.

Responsabilités

• Develop a coherent technology strategy aligned with product priorities.
• Ensure architectural decisions support key product initiatives and reliability.
• Lead CI/CD, code reviews, and engineering processes to boost quality and security.
• Oversee cloud infrastructure and optimize for peak periods like Black Friday.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate technical constraints.
