Trustpair's Engineering Department is hiring for two backend roles to build a scalable Ruby on Rails product that meets client needs. You will design new features, contribute to architecture, and participate in development and testing within a modern, autonomous team structure.

Based in France with hybrid or full remote options, you will work with the latest technologies, participate in code reviews and TDD, and help shape major architectural decisions that enhance security and performance.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in Ruby (Rails) backend development.
• Ability to conceive the technical design of a complex product feature.
• Experience on working on a rapidly growing product; knowledge of architectural models of large scale web applications.
• Experience working in an Agile environment like Scrum or Kanban.
• Experience in API development and knowledge of resilience, scalability and security constraints.
• Fluent in English.

About the role

Integrated into our talented Engineering Department, we have two positions open, you’ll work on creating a scalable and efficient product which consistently meets the needs of our clients. You’ll work on collaborative topics such as designing new features & functionalities, implementation, development and even testing the application.

Trustpair’s engineering team works with the latest technologies, as a Cellular Organization, meaning we reshape and adapt to ensure our teams stay autonomous, independent and have impact on the decisions made.

This is a permanent contract (CDI), suitable for candidates basedin France. Hybrid or full remote within France is possible.

What you'll do:

• Take the lead in creating innovative features by following best practices and maintaining exceptional code quality

• Engage in every phase of the SDLC;contribute to the architecture, code development, and even oversee the launch of new releases

• Support critical services for our customers which ensures the security of their payments

• Keep a finger on the pulse of the technology landscape. Identify emerging technologies and industry trends, and be proactive in recommending relevant improvements to our existing stack

• Champion engineering excellence by fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Lead by example in practices such as code reviews, Test-Driven Development (TDD), pair programming, writing clean and maintainable code, etc

Must-Haves:

• Experience in an environment where security is important; sensitivity to good security practices

• Experience in mentoring and leadership of junior and experienced people for good practices of software craftsmanship
