Yubo is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join the Backend Experience team. You will design, build, and operate high-risk backend experiments, collaborating with Product, Mobile, Design, and Data in a fast-moving squad.

You’ll own API design, ensure performance and observability, and work with Kafka, RabbitMQ, and NATS to enable scalable systems. Strong engineering practices and English proficiency are essential in our international environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years backend experience in startup/scale-up environments.
• Proficient in Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience designing APIs (performance, security, observability).
• Experience with event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS).
• Strong engineering practices: testing, code quality, resilience.

Responsabilités

• Design, ship, and operate high-risk backend experiments from specs to production rollout/rollback.
• Define and instrument success metrics with cross-functional partners.
• Iterate quickly based on experiment results (KPIs, dashboards, signals).
• Build resilient, scalable, and cost-efficient systems for high-risk experimentation.
• Mentor peers through code reviews and pairing (nice-to-have).
