One of our companies is currently looking for a Senior Backend Engineer in France.

We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join a cross-functional tech team developing advanced logistics and freight intelligence tools. This role is ideal for someone with strong backend expertise who enjoys turning complex data into scalable, production-ready solutions. You will work on systems that support real-time analytics, fleet monitoring, and voyage planning—all while maintaining high standards for performance, quality, and operational excellence. You’ll also collaborate closely with other engineers, mentor teammates, and contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering practices.

Accountabilities:

• Design and build backend systems supporting freight analytics, congestion tracking, and voyage planning
• Deliver clean, well-tested, and maintainable code aligned with best practices and business needs
• Maintain and improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of backend services in production
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between engineering and product objectives
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in code reviews to foster technical growth within the team
• Contribute to broader engineering initiatives and help define best practices and architectural standards

• 5+ years of experience in backend development using Scala, Java, Node.js, or Python
• Strong experience in building and consuming REST APIs and designing backend architectures
• Solid understanding of clean code, unit testing, and software design principles (e.g., SOLID)
• Proficiency in relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MSSQL
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and CI/CD tools (GitLab, Docker, SonarQube)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Bonus: Experience with ElasticSearch, Kafka, distributed systems, or Hexagonal architecture
