About the team

The Platform team is building and operating a set of services interacting with the blockchain and supporting our client applications. Our domain areas cover topics such as user management, workflow orchestration, fraud monitoring and transaction processing. Although “classical” by nature, we need to reinvent them in a blockchain context: decentralized, non custodial and at massive scale. This change of perspective is what makes our work most exciting!

Our backend consists of Java microservices written in Spring Boot. Our infrastructure runs on AWS (Docker/Beanstalk), deployed and maintained with Terraform. Our operations implement state of the art processes and tools from our CI/CD to our logging, monitoring and security solutions. We are Agile and use Scrum to structure our delivery process.

As a Backend Engineer, you will get to:

You will contribute to the development of our platform, taking part in all stages of the product life cycle from design to operations. You will analyze Product “Pitches”, architect solutions, and work with the team to estimate and plan the delivery cycles, staying ahead of technological and ecosystem developments that can have an impact in the way we work and operate our service. You’ll also provide Level 2 support to our Customer Support teams when technical expertise is required to solve a case.

Your experience should include:

• 5+ years experience as a software engineer developing cloud-native solutions
• Strong computer science, security and networking fundamentals
• Java (Spring Boot, J2EE) expertise
• Cloud infrastructure experience on AWS
• A test driven development approach to deliver high quality code
• A keen interest in the Cryptocurrency space

You might also have:

• Deploying, monitoring and scaling apps in a production environment
• Professional Blockchain / Cryptocurrency experience
• API design, management and security
• Working with data at scale (data engineering pipelines, serverless, etc.)
• Open source software and contributions
