About the Role

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing our critical backend systems. You'll work closely with Product Managers to translate business needs into technical solutions and collaborate with the Infrastructure team to ensure robust, scalable, and high-performing applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Core Development: Design, develop, and maintain highly performant, scalable, and secure applications for our core backend engines (written in PHP, Go, NodeJS, and Python).
• Product Collaboration: Collaborate directly with Product Managers to understand requirements, define technical specifications, and deliver solutions that align with product goals.
• Infrastructure & Ops: Work closely with the Infrastructure team to optimize application performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure seamless deployment and operation.
• Code Quality: Lead by example in writing clean, well-documented, and testable code.
• Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality standards and ensure adherence to team best practices.
• Environment Monitoring: Monitor environments to identify application bugs, troubleshoot stability issues, and uncover areas for performance optimization.
• System Optimization: Identify and implement opportunities for system optimization, refactoring, and technical debt reduction.
• Innovation & Excellence: Stay current with emerging trends and technologies, recommending and implementing relevant advancements to foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.

Experience and Background

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other relevant field.
• 7+ years of experience as a backend Developer in a professional environment, with a significant focus on PHP/Go/NodeJS/Python.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects and demonstrating measurable impact on product performance or stability.
• Deep expertise in non-framework development and object-oriented programming principles.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), containerization (e.g., Docker) and Salesforce is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex issues efficiently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong desire to learn and grow.
• Eagerness to work in an international and multicultural environment.
• Full professional proficiency in both French and English.

• Based in Paris (75002), France.
• Hybrid: 3 days in the office / 2 days remote work.
• Full time permanent contract position.
