Qualifications

Job Description

As a Backend Developer specializing in you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the backend infrastructure that powers our real-time multiplayer gaming experiences.

By working in the Web3 Division, you will:

1. Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain the server-side components and APIs required for real-time multiplayer gameplay.
2. Blockchain Development: Design and implement smart contracts & stay up-to-date with the latest developments in blockchain technology and integrate new advancements into our products.
3. Real-Time Communication: Implement real-time communication protocols (WebSocket, WebRTC, etc.) to ensure smooth and low-latency multiplayer interactions.
4. Database Management: Manage and optimize databases (Redis, BigQuery, BigTable, PubSub, DataFlow) to store game-related data and player information efficiently.
5. Scalability and Performance: Architect and optimize the backend infrastructure for scalability and high performance, ensuring smooth gameplay for thousands of concurrent players.
6. Security: Implement robust security measures to protect against cheating, hacking, and other security threats in a multiplayer gaming environment.
7. Collaboration: Collaborate closely with game developers, designers, and other cross-functional teams to integrate multiplayer features seamlessly into mobile games.
8. Testing and Debugging: Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and optimization of backend systems to ensure reliability and a seamless gaming experience.
9. Documentation: Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation for APIs, services, and backend systems to facilitate teamwork and future development.

Candidate Profile

1. Experience with smart contract development using Solidity, Rust, or similar languages.
2. Experience with real-time multiplayer game development is a strong plus.
3. Proficiency in WebSocket, WebRTC, and other real-time communication technologies.
4. Strong knowledge of databases (Redis, BigQuery, BigTable, PubSub, DataFlow) and database optimization.
5. Good knowledge of the cloud provider GCP (Google Cloud Platform).
6. Good knowledge and proficiency with serverless architecture are advantageous.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills.
8. Team player and humble.
9. Good knowledge of the gaming/apps industry.
10. Good knowledge about the Web3 industry is a plus.
