Job summary

Dotfile invites a Senior Software Engineer to join its AI-native engineering team focused on building an AI-powered compliance platform. You’ll own projects from discovery through production, deciding what to build, how to build it, and where to invest as the platform scales.

You’ll collaborate with product and other engineers to translate complex needs into robust software, while contributing to AI-driven improvements and platform evolution.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in production.
• Depth in backend or full-stack development; strong fundamentals.
• Experience using AI tooling to improve software development.

Responsibilities

• Own projects from discovery and technical design through implementation, testing, deployment and follow‑up.
• Work closely with product and other engineers to understand customer needs and translate them into usable software.
• Build and improve interfaces, APIs and services for financial compliance operations.
• Make pragmatic technical decisions balancing speed, reliability, security and maintainability.
• Investigate production issues and improve performance, observability and resilience as the platform grows.
• Raise the engineering bar through knowledge sharing and process improvements.
• Contribute to evolving the platform with more AI-powered compliance capabilities.
