Airbus Defence and Space SAS is seeking an AI Decision Making Research Engineer to join the Technology labs in Boulogne-Billancourt, near Paris. You will drive AI and operations research efforts to create decision-support tools across domains, joining a team designing future defense systems and integrating solutions at customer sites.

The role emphasizes research leadership, collaboration with academia, and publishing scientific results, with strong emphasis on innovation, security clearance

Qualifications

• Min 10 years of professional experience.
• Proficient in C++, Python, and Java.
• Knowledge of mathematical programming/optimization tools (Gurobi, OR-Tools).
• Experience with Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS), Mac OS X.
• Familiarity with virtualization (VMware, Docker).
• Development tools: git, VS Code.
• Strong background in algorithms, data structures, and graph theory.
• Machine learning methods including supervised/unsupervised and time-series forecasting.

Responsabilités

• Contribute to the team's work, research, and architecture work.
• Lead projects within the team.
• Design, develop, test, and integrate software modules for lab platforms.
• Integrate AI and optimization solutions for PoC and demonstrations.
• Assist with deployment on customer premises under constraints.
• Advance the lab environment, networking, and external recognition.
• Lead writing and publication of scientific articles and patents.
• Maintain continuous technological watch.
• Collaborate with academic partners and supervise PhD students.
