Mercor in Paris is seeking a senior aerodynamics expert to design industry-grounded, high-difficulty problems and craft expert solutions. You will author original scenarios grounded in real industry contexts and provide complete expert-level solutions.

Lead the validation process by testing these problems against frontier language models, ensuring at least one model fails. Collaborate with external aerodynamics, CFD, and wind tunnel teams on advanced projects.

Qualifications

• PhD in Aerospace Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering with a thermofluids/aerodynamics specialization.
• 5+ years of hands-on professional experience in external aerodynamics, CFD, wind tunnel testing, propulsion, or vehicle aerodynamics.
• Backgrounds in rocket/satellite propulsion, structural/aeroelastic FEM, or wind-loads-on-buildings do not map to the taxonomy.
• Candidates from blue-chip employers preferred.

Responsabilités

• Author original, free-response engineering problems grounded in real industry scenarios.
• Write a complete expert-level solution for each problem.
• Validate difficulty by running it against frontier language models until at least one fails.
