Job summary

Airbus Operations SAS in Toulouse, France, is seeking an Aerodynamics Engineer (f/m) to join the Aerodynamics Department. You will design next-generation commercial aircraft, develop innovative architectures, and validate models from design through wind-tunnel and flight testing.

The role requires 5+ years in aerodynamics, strong CFD, Python skills, and leadership. English is essential; French is a plus. International travel may be required as part of program collaborations.

Qualifications

• Background in Aeronautical Engineering (or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Solid technical background in aerodynamic modeling, flight mechanics, and CFD methodologies.
• Proficiency in Python programming, with exposure to data science and machine learning/AI.
• Proven leadership track record with strong decision-making, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
• Advanced proficiency in English (written and spoken); French language skills are an advantage.
• Willingness to travel for business and eligibility to obtain relevant security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead performance modeling campaigns through CFD and flight tests up to aircraft certification.
• Coordinate technical deliverables across Aerodynamics disciplines and align with project stakeholders.
• Develop accurate aerodynamic performance prediction methods for future aircraft concepts and configurations.
• Continuously enhance existing aircraft models using flight-test data and high-fidelity CFD simulations.
• Deploy machine learning and AI methods to accelerate aerodynamic trade studies and design iterations.
