Job summary

EDP is seeking a skilled accountant to manage general accounting activities in line with French accounting principles. You will record daily transactions, reconcile accounts, and support month-end and year-end close processes.

The role requires 3+ years in accounting, strong IFRS knowledge, and fluency in French and English. Knowledge of Excel is essential, and knowledge of Spanish or Portuguese is a plus, with a collaborative, detail-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting roles.
• Strong knowledge of French accounting principles and IFRS.
• Good understanding of basic French tax requirements.
• Knowledge of Excel.
• Fluent French and English (written and spoken). Spanish or Portuguese are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage general accounting activities in accordance with French accounting principles.
• Record daily accounting transactions.
• Perform account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations and monthly balance reviews.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
• Support the preparation of statutory financial statements and notes to the accounts.
• Support tax filings and administrative deadlines.
• Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Contribute to process optimization and continuous improvement within the accounting function.
