Job summary

Jobtailor in France is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage client portfolios of microbusinesses and SMEs. You will process digitized documents, perform bookkeeping, and verify pre-allocations while ensuring compliance with professional standards.

The role includes preparing tax and VAT returns and balance sheets, with opportunities to optimize processes and advise on improvements. A Bac+2 level education and 5+ years of similar experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: Bac +2 (e.g., BTS/DUT) or DCG.
• At least 5 years' experience in a similar role in a chartered/accounting firm is required.
• Strong knowledge of general accounting.
• Good command of office software and accounting systems.
• Ability to apply current methodologies while complying with professional standards and procedures.
• Methodical and organized.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Proactive and able to make recommendations for improvement.
• Interest in digital technology.
• Knowledge of PENNYLANE software would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage a client portfolio composed of microbusinesses and SMEs, tradespeople, shopkeepers and self-employed professionals.
• Process digitized accounting documents.
• Verify automatic accounting pre-allocations.
• Bookkeeping and account reconciliation.
• Preparation of tax and VAT returns.
• Account reviews.
• Preparation of balance sheets and tax packages (liaise fiscale).
