Job summary

Life Couriers, the global leader in radiopharmaceutical and stem cell logistics, seeks an Accountant or Senior Accountant (m/f/d) to strengthen the France accounting team in Lille. You will own month-end closings, manage ledgers, and prepare financial statements in line with PCG and Belgian GAAP while collaborating with auditors and tax advisors.

The role includes supervising invoicing, improving processes, and occasional travel to Lille, Villebon sur Yvette, and Zaventem.

Qualifications

• Degree in finance or accounting or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 3 years of experience in financial accounting; or 5 years with independent closings.
• Solid knowledge of French GAAP (PCG) and French tax rules.
• Native or fluent French and business-fluent English.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Record day-to-day transactions in the general ledger (assets, prepayments, accruals, provisions, equity).
• Reconcile accounts and prepare analyses.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements under French and Belgium GAAP (PCG).
• Prepare monthly group reporting package and support process improvements.
• Assist integration of acquired companies and liaise with auditors and tax advisors.
• Supervise invoicing department and support audit activities.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing for selected entities.
• Travel to group sites in Lille, Villebon sur Yvette, and Zaventem as needed.

To strengthen our accounting team in France, we are looking for an Accountant or Senior Accountant (m/f/d) to join us as soon as possible. The level of the role will depend on your experience.

Your responsibilities

• Record day-to-day transactions in the general ledger (e.g. fixed and current assets, prepayments and accruals, provisions, equity)
• Reconcile accounts and prepare account analyses
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements under French and Belgium GAAP (Plan Comptable Général, PCG)
• Prepare the monthly financial reporting package for the group
• Help improve existing processes and introduce new processes and systems
• Support the integration of acquired companies
• Act as a point of contact for the statutory auditors (commissaires aux comptes) and external accountants and tax advisors
• Supervision of Invoicing department

As a Senior Accountant, you will also:

• Take ownership of month-end and year-end closing for selected entities
• Review entries and reconciliations prepared by team members and support their development
• Lead individual process improvement and system projects
• Regular travel to the Group’s sites in Lille or Villebon sur Yvette, France, and Zaventem, Belgium, is expected as part of the role.

Your profile

• A degree in finance or accounting (e.g. DCG, DSCG, Master CCA) or a comparable qualification
• At least 3 years of experience in financial accounting (Accountant), or at least 5 years with independent responsibility for closings (Senior Accountant)
• Solid knowledge of French GAAP (PCG) and French tax rules
• Native or fluent French and business-fluent English, written and spoken
• Strong communication skills and a confident, friendly manner
• Ideally, experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
