Contract: Permanent

Location: Biot, France

PROFILE

The primary responsibility of the Senior Accountant based in Biot, France, is to prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to the monthly close schedule, facilitate and complete monthly close procedures, and analyze revenues, commissions, and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis.

Main responsibilities:

• Oversee outsourced daily accounting of French entity
• Oversee the preparation of monthly financial statements
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards
• Handle daily accounting of Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivables
• Supervise and approve digitalized travel expense tools
• Communicate month-end reporting internally and externally
• Support the corporate budget process
• Drive innovation and improve accounting processes
• Participate in the yearly audit of the entities
• Manage the different entities of Oetker Hotels Management Company

COMPETENCIES & CRITICAL SKILLS

Main competencies include:

• Strong understanding of accounting theory
• ACCA designation preferred
• Highly detail-oriented and organized
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, and accounting software
• Experience in hotel and hospitality environment is desirable

Education:

• 4 to 5 years of higher education in Accounting, Finance, or Business
• Fluent in French and German, with a perfect level of English
