Our Finance & Administration Business Line is looking for a Senior Accountant (IRL Market), who will have the following responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
- Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Support external audits by preparing relevant documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations (VAT, RCT, payroll taxes, corporate tax) and assist with tax filings.
Accounts Payable (AP):
- Ensure proper accounts payable cycle, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments proposals.
- Manage vendor relationships, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with agreed payment terms.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any outstanding issues as is for analysis “Goods receipt/Invoice Receipt”.
- Monitor and improve the efficiency of AP processes, identifying opportunities for automation and optimization in line with the actual organization.
- Assist in cash flow forecasting by providing insights into upcoming payables.
Accounts Receivable (AR):
- Ensure that invoices are prepared and sent to customers in a timely and accurate manner, based on sales orders and contracts;
Monitor customer accounts to ensure that payments are correctly applied and received in a timely fashion.
Other Financial & Operational Duties:
- Support the implementation of financial controls and process improvements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure finance best practices are followed, as well external stakeholders meaning tax consultants.
- Maintain proper documentation and record-keeping for compliance and audit purposes.
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will have/ be:
- Degree in Accounting.
- At least 5 years of experience in Accounting and accounts payable.
- Accounting knowledge (preferably in International Accounting Standards – IFRS).
- International experience will be a plus.
- Proficient in MS Office, with MS Excel and MS Word domain.
