Job summary

Viridien's Reservoir Research internship invites you to join the subsurface imaging R&D team in a collaborative environment. You will work with seismic inversion researchers to adapt schemes to elastic domains and help implement prototypes on real data.

The team values curiosity and teamwork; last-year engineer or master's students with strong math/physics background and good C++ skills are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Last year of Engineer School or Masters degree with strong skills in Mathematics, Physics and Numerical computation.
• Strong background in Mathematics, Physics and Numerical Computation.
• Strong analytical approach to problem solving.
• Collaborating with external R&D partners.
• Strong knowledge of C++.
• Curiosity, interest for research and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with seismic inversion researchers to adapt inversion schemes to the defined elastic domain.
• Participate in the development and implementation of a prototype to be able to handle all the requirements of each inversion.
• Implement and test the methodology on real data to validate its application, to understand the impact of the different parameters as well as the limitations
