Background:

eu-LISA is the European Union Agency for the Operational Management of Large-Scale IT Systems in the Area of Freedom, Security and Justice (eu-LISA). It manages large-scale IT systems to support the implementation of asylum, border management, and migration policies in the European Union (EU). The Agency is also a frontrunner in the EU's digitalisation efforts within Justice and Home Affairs, building a new information architecture and contributing to a new security ecosystem. Since its inception in 2012, eu-LISA has become the digital engine of the Schengen Area. The Agency adds value to EU Member States by supporting their efforts towards justice, security, and freedom.

• Supports the Agency's Security Officers in developing and maintaining the security architecture, in collaboration with the Enterprise Architect.
• The profile will perform tasks such as:
• Creating and managing security standards, design patterns, and reference architectures.
• Analyzing and defining security requirements for networks, applications, systems, end-user computing, mobility, and data centers.
• Developing and maintaining the organizational security control framework.
• Ensuring IT security controls meet regulatory and contractual requirements.
• Collaborating with Security Officers and IT teams to ensure security technologies are effectively integrated and utilized.
• Monitoring and analyzing IT security trends.
• Developing strategic and technical roadmaps for enterprise security environments.
• Researching, evaluating, designing, testing, and planning the implementation of new or updated security technologies.

Education:

• Minimum 4 years of relevant education (master's degree or equivalent) after secondary school.
• Minimum 6 years of professional experience in IT security.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in security architecture.

Additional qualifications, knowledge, and skills:

• Advanced knowledge of core IT infrastructure domains: Data Networks, Servers, Desktop hardware, Operating Systems, Messaging, Collaboration, Storage, Backups, and monitoring systems.
• Security architecture methodologies such as SABSA.
• Security models, strategy development, and compliance management.
• Mobile architecture, network and application security, and data protection.
• Application security vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10, CWE/SANS Top 25) and remediation.
• Cybersecurity controls (SANS Top 20 Critical Controls).
• IT audit/assessment frameworks (ISO standards, NIST, CobiT) and industry development methodologies.
• Enterprise authentication and identity management (Active Directory, LDAP).
• Technical security controls: firewalls, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management, web application firewalls, security gateways, WiFi, DLP, PKI, encryption, authentication techniques.
• Relational databases, middleware, collaboration, and document management solutions.
• Network and web protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, SNMP, ICAP).
• Possession of one or more of the following certifications: CISSP-ISSAP, CISM, CISA, TOGAF, or similar.
