Qualifications

• Expérience dans les procédés en aval, l'ingénierie chimique ou la biotechnologie.
• Compétences techniques en inactivation, séparation et séchage.

Job Description

Within the Center of Excellence Down Stream Process Design belonging to the Lesaffre Institute of Science & Technology, and directly attached to the Drying Process Team Manager, you are in charge of developing process of production of post-biotics along with the drying process team (10 persons) and in collaboration with other teams on campus. You will be in charge of the study and optimisation of process parameters for the development of new products or improvement of existing products.

As a Scientist, your responsibilities are:

1. To study project feasibility and be a technical reference;
2. To design and realize plan of experiments for your project;
3. To support team activities related to the preservation and design of products implying inactivation and drying process, and formulation;
4. To provide technical solutions for your project and related to team activities;
5. To synthesize and write activity reports of your project on a regular basis.

Qualifications

• Master or Engineering degree in biotechnology or process engineering
• A first experience in down stream process, chemical engineering or biotechnology, or in an environment dealing with micro-organisms would be a plus
• Fluent in English, French is a plus.
• Design of experiments
• Technical skills on:
• Down stream process (inactivation, separation, drying…)
• Characterization of products
• Formulation
