Job Description

Within the Center of Excellence Down Stream Process Design, part of the Lesaffre Institute of Science & Technology, and reporting to the Drying Process Team Manager, you will be responsible for developing the production process of post-biotics, collaborating with the drying process team (10 members) and other campus teams. Your role involves studying and optimizing process parameters for new product development or existing product improvements.

Your responsibilities as a Scientist include:

  1. Studying project feasibility and serving as a technical reference;
  2. Designing and executing experimental plans for your projects;
  3. Supporting team activities related to product preservation, inactivation, drying processes, and formulation;
  4. Providing technical solutions for your projects and team activities;
  5. Synthesizing and documenting activity reports regularly.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Engineering degree in biotechnology or process engineering;
  • Experience in downstream processing, chemical engineering, biotechnology, or micro-organism-related environments is a plus;
  • Fluent in English; French is advantageous;
  • Experience in design of experiments;
  • Technical skills in downstream processes (inactivation, separation, drying), product characterization, and formulation.
