BIOVIA is seeking a motivated Scientific Software Engineer experienced in building and extending cheminformatics methods and tools to join our R&D team in San Diego, CA in an onsite/hybrid role.
· PhD in Organic, Computational, or related Chemistry discipline with relevant programming experience is preferred; education plus experience will also be considered.
· 2+ years of combined academic and professional experience in chemistry and computer science.
· Proficiency in C++.
· Familiarity with pharmaceutical and biotech industry use cases, cheminformatics, and computational chemistry is a plus.
· Knowledge of object-oriented design, design patterns, and software development methodologies.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Strong analytical, organizational, and learning drive.
· Experience with Agile methodologies like Scrum.
