An international climate organization is seeking a highly motivated Science Officer for its Technical Support Unit in Paris. The role involves assisting in the preparation and review of the IPCC Working Group I assessment, ensuring scientific integrity, and contributing to scientific outreach. A PhD in climate science, experience in report writing, and excellent communication skills are required. The position offers a fixed-term contract for 2 years with a possibility of extension and requires proficiency in English.

Qualifications

• PhD in climate science and publications relevant to physical climate science.
• Experience in scientific report writing and editing.
• Proficient in oral and written English at academic publishing level.

Responsabilités

• Assist in the preparation and review of the IPCC Working Group I assessment.
• Support planning and reporting for meetings organized by Working Group I.
• Contribute to outreach materials communicating scientific findings.
