CELESTAL is seeking an experienced SCADA Engineer to support the design, construction, commissioning and operation of onshore wind, PV and battery storage plants in France.

Responsibilities include collecting O&M requirements, defining SCADA architectures, and preparing technical specifications for supervision and networks. You will coordinate with operations and contractors, ensuring successful FAT/SAT and commissioning while sharing knowledge across teams.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Automation or SCADA is required.
• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in HTA/HTB environments or renewable energy sectors.
• Strong knowledge of industrial automation, SCADA systems, and communication networks.

Responsabilités

Are you an experienced SCADA Engineer with expertise in renewable energy projects? We are looking for a skilled SCADA Engineer to support the design, construction, commissioning, and operation of onshore wind, photovoltaic, and battery storage power plants.

Your Responsibilities:

• Collect and analyse the requirements of O&M and operations teams regarding SCADA and control systems.
• Define technical standards and SCADA/control system architectures adapted to different types of renewable energy power plants.
• Prepare technical specifications covering supervision systems, industrial automation, and communication networks.
• Ensure that SCADA, communication, and automation requirements are correctly integrated into equipment contracts and technical specifications.
• Support project execution through contractor selection, review of execution documents, quality control, FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities.
• Identify appropriate technical solutions for control systems, equipment monitoring, and data collection issues.
• Coordinate with operations teams to resolve issues related to data acquisition and equipment control.
• Share technical knowledge and lessons learned with teams and subsidiaries in France and internationally.
• Deliver internal training within the SCADA and automation field.
• Please note that this position does not involve the programming of PLC or SCADA systems, as these activities are performed by the contractors appointed for the projects.

What We’re Looking For:

Education: Engineering degree in Automation or SCADA.

Experience: 3 to 5 years of professional experience with an electrical equipment manufacturer, installer or integrator in HTA/HTB environments, a renewable energy developer, contractor or operator, or an engineering consultancy.

Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of industrial automation, SCADA systems, control systems, communication networks, electrical engineering, and cybersecurity.

Communication Systems: Experience with communication media such as twisted-pair cables, wireless systems, and fibre-optic networks.

Communication Protocols: Knowledge of Modbus RTU and TCP, IEC 60870-5-104, IEC 61850, OPC DA, XML-DA, OPC UA, and MQTT.

Power Systems: Experience in commissioning HTA or HTB power generation facilities in France or internationally is preferred.

Languages: Fluent French and English, with the ability to lead technical meetings and prepare detailed technical specifications in both languages.

Project Skills: Experience in project management, engineering coordination, contractor supervision, technical document review, FAT, SAT, and commissioning support.
