A high-performing European consultancy is seeking a Satellite Payload Consultant to support leading space programmes. With deep technical and project management experience in satcom payload design and procurement, you’ll play a key role in guiding satellite operators and institutional clients throughout the full lifecycle of satellite acquisition—from initial visibility studies to detailed specification writing and vendor selection.

Responsibilities:
- Lead satellite visibility studies, helping clients define the right mission concept (military, TV, data, etc.).
- Define the payload specifications and support clients through the RFP and bid evaluation process.
- Collaborate with internal consultants and technical teams to cover all aspects of procurement (budget, architecture, engineering).
- Engage with satellite operators, procurement agencies, and manufacturers.
- Bring expertise in both traditional and digital payloads, including flexible satellites and digital processors.
Must Have:
- 7–10+ years' experience in satellite payloads, ideally with involvement in full lifecycle procurement and design.
- Deep understanding of digital satcom payloads, including processors and flexibility concepts.
- Ability to intervene across all project phases – from concept definition to vendor interaction and customer support.
- Strong project management background, ideally supporting satellite acquisitions.
- Based in the EU – Toulouse preferred, Paris considered. Will consider EU-based candidates willing to relocate.
- Industry experience with satellite manufacturers (Airbus, TAS, OHB) or operators (Eutelsat, SES, etc.).
Nice to Have:
- Experience with both commercial and institutional/military satellite programmes.
- Involvement in satellite procurement support phases for government or operator clients.
- Fluent or working-level French (useful but not required).
Salary & Benefits:
- Up to €80,000 base salary
- Annual bonus – up to 2 months' salary
- Profit sharing – ~10% of profits split among employees (approx. 1 month’s salary)
