Job summary

Ascend Beyond Space, a small, agile New Space startup near Annecy lake in the French Alps, is seeking a Satellite Fluidics Engineer to own the Garnet pressure/temperature sensor from design through delivery.

You will work closely with AIT engineers, suppliers, manufacturing partners and customers to plan production, coordinate testing, and ensure space qualification standards while improving processes and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or a relevant technical field.
• 2–5 years in space industry or related technical field (excluding internships/PhDs).
• Familiarity with design and analysis of pressure sensors, regulators, valves and related components.
• Hands-on experience with testing/qualification of pressurized devices and systems.
• Proficiency in mechanical CAD design and FEA.
• Owns technical activities and delivers on time with high quality.

Responsibilities

• Be the owner of Garnet, the space-qualified pressure and temperature sensor, across its lifecycle.
• Act as technical contact for customers andSales, from inquiry to after-delivery support.
• Plan and coordinate production with suppliers and manufacturing partners.
• Support assembly and testing, including vibration, shock and radiation campaigns.
• Work with AIT engineers on quality standards, space qualification and test campaigns.
