This role is designed as 'Onsite', with the expectation that you will primarily work from an HPE partner or customer office.

Job Description:

As a Sales Manager, you will lead the SASE / Cyber Security team of around 10 sales representatives in North West Europe (including France, Benelux, and the Nordics). You should have experience managing a sales team, coaching, developing, and mentoring team members. Your goal is to meet or exceed commitments related to revenue growth, market share, account profitability, and customer experience.

Job Family Definition:

You will lead the sales community to success by communicating direction aligned with the company's vision and strategy, inspiring the team to exceed goals, managing sales processes, recruiting and developing talent, and orchestrating major customer engagements to deliver results and enhance customer experience. You will also manage escalations, drive a hunting mentality, build executive relationships, craft strategies to win, and maximize cross-team efficiency.

Responsibilities:
  1. Managing the Business:
    • Sales coverage: Develop targeted business plans and strategies for resource allocation and sales activities to achieve margins.
    • Account Planning: Support sales strategies, manage internal processes, and develop business plans to meet revenue goals.
    • Pipeline management: Build and monitor sales pipelines, analyze win rates, and manage opportunities.
    • Deal management: Review deals for soundness and process efficiency.
    • Business acumen: Use business, financial, and legal knowledge to develop recommendations and monitor operations.
    • Strategic sales planning & implementation: Develop and execute strategic sales plans for market share growth.
    • Competitive Positioning/Strategy: Use intelligence to develop counter-strategies against competitors.
  2. Leading & Managing Sales People:
    • Coaching & Performance Management: Assess and manage performance, support challenges, and manage results.
    • Leadership: Model selling skills, motivate, and support the team.
    • People development: Sponsor skill-building activities.
    • Change management: Lead the team through change environments.
  3. Selling as a Sales Manager:
    • Strategic direction: Help teams customize solutions based on client needs.
    • C-level partnering: Build enduring relationships with key executives.
    • Consultative selling: Coach on techniques to identify and grow opportunities.
    • Industry and client knowledge: Stay current on industry trends and client challenges.
Education and Experience:
  • Proven management experience with success in achieving sales goals.
  • Project management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Typically 7+ years in sales.
Knowledge and Skills:

Additional core skills include strategic planning, execution, forecasting, pipeline management, and operations improvement. Sales development, resource allocation, strategic account leadership, workforce management, customer relationship management, and business planning are also essential. Developing deep industry understanding, solution selling, change management, and leadership skills are critical for success.
