Are you passionate about bridging business needs and IT solutions? As the SAP Purchasing Product Owner, you will work closely with our Purchasing business counterparts to meet their strategic objectives and manage the application lifecycle in the purchasing domain. You will provide support to project management, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic directions. Your role will involve maintaining and optimizing applications both in our factories and at headquarters. You will oversee application developments for the Mining division. Within the SAP Competence Center, you will drive the IT strategy for the group's purchasing processes : raw material purchasing, indirect purchasing, inter-company purchasing, stock management, invoicing, and master data management.

Responsibilities :

  • Analyze business needs by engaging with management and users to understand strategic directions and functional expectations.
  • Monitor technological advancements to identify new technical and functional market opportunities.
  • Participate in defining functional requirements before drafting specifications.
  • Prioritize requests with the business, considering economic, technical, and human constraints.
  • Oversee the drafting of functional specifications and set quality, budget, and timeline objectives for projects.
  • Allocate internal and external resources necessary for project completion.
  • Select and manage contractual relationships with service providers.
  • Coordinate and lead internal and / or external IT teams on Purchasing and Inventory Management projects.
  • Manage the daily operation of applications in the Purchasing and Inventory Management domain (SAP, SRM Axiscope, Neptune, PowerBI).
  • Define support and training resources for the implementation of new solutions and ensure domain consistency with the overall IT strategy.

Your Profile :

At least 5 years' higher education (engineering school or university), with at least 8 years' experience in a similar role. Previous experience in the industrial sector preferred.

  • Expert of SAP Purchasing modules.
  • Knowledge of a Business Intelligence tool would be a plus (such as PowerBI).
  • Expertise of IT project management processes and TMA processes.
  • Initiative and ability to propose solutions and implement them.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to manage various stakeholders at all levels.
