University of Rochester is seeking a skilled Food Service Worker to prepare sandwiches, salads, and patient meals. You will set up and replenish salad bars, follow computer-generated recipes, and maintain cleanliness.

A six-month minimum in commercial food service and ability to read and follow instructions are required. The role requires lifting 40–50 pounds and works full-time in a hospital cafeteria environment with rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Six months experience in a commercial food service.
• Ability to read and write English and follow instructions.

Responsabilités

• Prepares and mixes ingredients for a variety of sandwiches; makes sandwiches as ordered.
• Cleans, prepares and mixes ingredients for salads, dressings and similar dishes; arranges items attractively.
• Prepares special food products for patients, cafeteria service and catered functions.
• Sets up salad bar and replenishes as needed.
• None supervises others.
• Uses equipment such as slicers, choppers, mixers and knives safely.
• Maintains sanitation, safety and housekeeping standards.
• Plans portions and daily prep in line with recipes and schedules.
