Position Overview

With our strong business growth globally, Tencent Cloud International is now looking for an Associate Account Representative (Sales Trainee) to join our fast-growing cloud business in Europe. Based in France, he/she will be groomed and trained to grow and accelerate our Go-To-Market strategy within the targeted markets and sectors while developing field relationships with our key partners to ultimately generate new service opportunities and help grow existing ones.

This position will require traveling within Europe. There are potential opportunities to attend sales training at HQ in China.

Responsibilities

  1. Partner and support senior members of the Sales team in the end-to-end customer account management lifecycle, including contract preparation, negotiation, and ensuring smooth operational and administrative tasks for customers.
  2. Support senior members in the preparation and execution of strategic account plans, status reports, sales and revenue forecasting, and quota attainment, with the goal of becoming an independent salesperson by the second year.
  3. Utilize networking and prospecting skills to generate leads and identify strategic solution-based sales opportunities.
  4. Attend leading industry exhibitions with the Sales team in Europe and globally.
  5. Develop and manage high-value relationships with key client stakeholders.
  6. Partner with the Business Contracts Manager on contract negotiations.
  7. Achieve or exceed sales goals, sustain revenue growth, and provide recommendations to enhance account growth and revenue potential.
  8. Become proficient in Tencent’s cloud offerings, understanding customer needs and providing service solutions.
  9. Develop strategic plans based on industry trends (FSI/Manufacturing & Energy/Pan-Internet/ISV) and customer analysis.
  10. Collaborate with Solutions Architect and Marketing teams to develop sales pitch and exhibition materials.

Requirements

  1. Strong interest in developing a career in Sales, Business Development, and Account Management in cloud services. Prior tech-related internship experiences, including cloud or software, are highly advantageous.
  2. Exhibit a “hunter” mentality with an outstanding ability to close sales.
  3. Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership in the workplace.
  4. Excellent English communication and presentation skills; fluency in Chinese, German, French, or other major European languages is a plus.
  5. Strong interest and curiosity for technology; prior knowledge of Cloud, CDN, SaaS industry, and internet space is a plus.
  6. Adept at analyzing data, trends, and market insights to develop key selling points.
