A well-established, medium-sized company with a long tradition in the animal nutrition industry is seeking a Sales Manager to lead growth in France. The company manufactures and distributes high-quality feed additives and nutritional products for all types of farm animals. Headquartered in Germany with international operations including field teams and offices in Asia, this business prides itself on innovation, quality, and close customer partnerships.
You will play a key role in expanding the companys footprint in the French market, with a primary focus on agricultural feed producers such as compound feed manufacturers, premix producers, and integrators. The role also includes growing sales in pet food producers and finished product segments targeting monogastric animals (pigs and poultry), which complement the main focus.
Your responsibilities will include:
Developing and managing direct sales relationships with purchasers, nutritionists, and technical decision-makers
Initiating projects and building long-term partnerships in a market with significant growth potential, especially in northwest France (Brittany, Normandy)
Managing a complex sales cycle that can span up to three years, requiring strategic planning and persistence
Representing the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings across France
Collaborating with technical experts and company leadership to deliver tailored nutritional solutions
Degree in Agricultural Sciences (specializing in animal nutrition), Veterinary Medicine, or related natural sciences
Minimum 4 years of experience in B2B sales, ideally within the feed, premix, or feed additive sectors in France
Strong commercial acumen with proven success in agricultural markets
Native French speaker with excellent written and spoken English
Results-oriented, flexible, and entrepreneurial, with a customer-first mindset
Comfortable with extensive travel and working autonomously in a fast-paced environment
Open to candidates with 24 years experience who demonstrate a strong eagerness to learn and succeed
