Responsible for identifying business opportunities within the Territory for Refinery market and concluding direct sales of Alfa Laval High Efficiency Heat Exchangers (Packinox, Compabloc, Spiral, Olmi S&T Heat Exchanger) in accordance with the assigned targets of Business Unit WHE.

Senior level position demonstrating a higher level of competence, able to act independently and take on additional responsibilities.

Responsible for developing and executing a sales strategy and a sales plan.

Report to BU WHE Refinery & Renewable Fuels (R&RF) Sales Team in BU WHE.

Job description

  • Follow established sales processes and guidelines to promote and sell Alfa Laval High Efficiency Heat Exchangers (Packinox, Compabloc, Spiral, Olmi S&T Heat Exchanger) within the territory for Refinery market.

  • Territory: Germany, Austria, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Greece.

  • Analyze and understand market insights and the customers' buying behavior and make sales plans according to the BU WHE strategy and targets.

  • Look for and manage leads from the market and customers and convert them into real business opportunities in order to ensure the pipeline.

  • Be active in the market and focus on making visits, meetings and interactions with customers, focusing on customer needs understanding and highlighting the value of our products. Build and maintain a sufficient network with customers.

  • Be part of R&RF Sales Team in BU WHE. Collaborate with the Sales Team (training, monthly meetings, quarterly business review & report).

  • Collaborate with local and central Service Team especially to follow the status of our Installed Base, and to secure Customer Satisfaction.

  • Prepare high-quality quotes answering the customer needs. Develop value propositions with unique selling points that differentiate our offering from the competition.

  • Negotiate several M€ orders. Minimize risk for Alfa Laval.

  • Use the CRM tool and other tools in a consistent and qualitative way, to support the sales process and make decisions.

Who are you?

We're looking for someone who is motivated and passionate about business development, with a strong ability to build strong networks, working internationally with people at all levels and from all cultures. You are goal-oriented and have a creative, open-minded approach to problem-solving.

With a mechanical or chemical engineering background, you will ideally have a minimum of 7 years' sales experience in the field of process industry. Experience in refinery and/or petrochemistry is a plus. You also have a good knowledge of welded plate heat exchangers.

Your English is fluent (spoken and written). You are a good communicator, full of dynamism and energy. You are customer-oriented and you work easily across borders and understand different cultures.
