Responsibilities

Express is seeking a Retail Sales Leader to join our team.

The Sales Leader drives operations on the sales floor and in the stockroom, while assisting in training associates and delivering a great in-store shopping experience for customers.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist in developing and motivating associates to maximize sales potential.
  2. Provide in the moment coaching/training to store associates to ensure efficient and effective floor operations, customer service, coverage, stockroom management and execution of standards.
  3. Partner with Store Management to provide feedback on associate performance.
  4. Assist in training associates on store operations, product, policy, and procedures.
  5. Execute action plans that optimize results.
  6. Execute all aspects of daily store operations.
  7. Ensure appropriate associate coverage to create a great customer experience.
  8. Oversee and authorize the checkout experience.
  9. Assist with merchandise flow, such as shipment, replenishment, omni-channel operations, in the store.
  10. Monitor and analyze the customer service provided by team members.
  11. Build an effective schedule with the right associate in the right place at the right time.
  12. Promote and support an environment focused on delivering great in-store customer experiences.
  13. Effectively resolve customer service issues to a positive outcome.
  14. Lead and model our customer experience model.
  15. Display expert knowledge of product, company policies, promotions, loyalty programs.
  16. Provide leadership and assistance with product launches, window changes, visual presentation standards, signage placement, etc.
  17. Other essential functions may occur as directed by your supervisor.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  1. Education: High School or Equivalent.
  2. Years of Experience: 1.
  3. Proficient in use of technology (iPad, registers).
  4. Meets defined availability criteria, including nights, weekends and non-business hours.
  5. Meets physical requirements.

Critical Skills & Attributes

  1. Previous retail experience preferred.
  2. Ability to effectively communicate with customers, peers and supervisors.
  3. Demonstrated sales accountability.
  4. Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well with a team.
  5. Ability to multitask and handle multiple customers and/or processes at once.

Pay Range

$17.25 - $23.75 per hour.
