The Company

Our client is a well-established French industrial player expanding in North America. To drive our U.S. commercial strategy, we’re looking for a dynamic Sales Director to lead operations from Chicago, our U.S. hub.

Today, we are accelerating our global expansion and strengthening their presence in USA.

As the Sales Director USA, you will be at the heart of our development across the American market with your own team already onsite — with full P&L responsibility, very close collaboration with HQ in France, and the autonomy to shape and execute a long-term commercial strategy.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Own and execute the U.S. commercial roadmap in sync with HQ.
  • Lead and grow the U.S. sales & technical team with clarity and impact.
  • Drive market penetration and structured business expansion.
  • Optimize the sales pipeline, from prospecting to contract closure, ensuring long-term order book growth
  • Take full P&L ownership and deliver scalable, profitable growth.
  • Set bold targets and ensure sustainable year-over-year results through smart planning and agile execution.
  • Identify and activate new growth levers: strategic market segments, high-potential industrial clients, and key partnerships.
  • Build trust-based Industrial relationships: manufacturers, distributors, agents, and sales reps.
  • Represent the company with impact at major industry events: exhibitions, trade shows, and business forums to establish a strong market footprint
  • Proven track record of success with industrial equipment companies — delivering measurable results in demanding B2B environments.
  • Work closely with internal teams to align commercial and technical strategies, ensuring seamless execution of projects

Qualifications & Experience

  • Masters degree in Engineering, Business (Bac+4/5 or equivalent)
  • At least 10 years of experience in B2B industrial sales or business development
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. business culture and decision-making processes
  • Experience working across technical, commercial, and operational teams to drive success
  • Technically fluent and commercially sharp, always customer-focused
  • Agile, autonomous, and hands-on — with a true entrepreneurial spirit
  • Natural leader with impact, drive, and a sense of ownership
  • Green Card or permanent work authorization required
  • Must be based in Chicago
  • Travel Requirement: about 10 days per month
