BYD France is the French National Sales Company of BYD BV Europe and BYD Company Ltd, a China-based company and a leading global supplier of green energy technologies. BYD France offers a range of electric vehicles, including all-electric cars, buses & forklifts. BYD is expanding its operations in France to support a growing portfolio of New Electric Vehicle Passenger car and LCVs projects.

Reports to: Country Manager France and Deputy Country Manager France

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Director to lead the sales activities for BYD France's passenger vehicle center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth in both B2B and B2C segments, ensuring that sales targets are met, and developing strategies to expand BYD’s market share in France.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies for both B2B (business-to-business) and B2C (business-to-consumer) channels.
  • Identify key growth opportunities and drive sales initiatives to achieve revenue and market share goals.
  • Lead the development of sales forecasts, budgets, and KPIs to monitor and drive performance.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners in both B2B and B2C sectors.
  • Understand customer needs and market trends to offer tailored solutions that promote customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Ensure the highest level of customer service is maintained across all sales touchpoints.

Market Analysis & Reporting:

  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to adjust strategies as necessary.
  • Provide regular sales reports to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Stay updated on industry developments, regulations, and innovations to ensure BYD’s competitiveness.

Leadership & Management:

  • Lead, manage, and mentor the sales team to ensure optimal performance, motivation, and professional growth.
  • Provide training and coaching to sales teams on product knowledge, sales tactics, and market trends.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with marketing, product, and customer service teams to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
  • Coordinate with international sales teams to leverage best practices and global strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the automotive industries.
  • Proven track record in managing both B2B and B2C sales channels.
  • Strong knowledge of the automotive industry, particularly in electric vehicles, is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Fluency in French and English is required.
