Territory covered will potentially include the Beltway, areas south to Charlottesville, and north to Hagerstown and Ijamsville.
Responsibilities

- Collaborate with Assigned Market Teams, Safety Teams, and Local Leaders: Work directly with assigned PM/CM, safety teams, and local leaders to identify leading indicators, initiate corrective actions, and identify potential training improvements related to Workers' Compensation (WC), Utility Hits, Motor Vehicle Incidents, Property, General Liability (GL), and regulatory compliance.
- Weekly Market Metrics and Hazard Mitigation: Participate and lead discussions on weekly market metrics, mitigate hazards, conduct incident root cause investigations, and assist operations with pre-job planning.
- Resource for Market Employees: Serve as a resource to employees and GC crews regarding customer specifications, OSHA regulations, ANSI standards, and MNS safety policies. Support the Market Operations Construction Team and field crews.
- Critical Certifications Oversight: Review and verify required critical certifications for field members and general contractors.
- Safety Management System Oversight: Oversee, communicate, and evaluate the success of JHA, SSO, driver scorecard, Donesafe system, etc.
- Proactive Communication: Implement, interact, and maintain proactive communication with Market Operations and Regional/Corporate Safety.
- Training and Development: Conduct and participate in training as directed by the Training Division. Provide insights for program revisions, practical training modules, and methodology. Conduct random jobsite visits, build reports, and coach crews using Site Safety Observations.
- Customer Safety: Interact and respond to customer safety department needs regarding safety and training issues. Research and submit corrective action plans. Assist during inspections, inquiries, or corrective initiatives.
- Claims Process Training: Ensure market field leadership and teams are trained in the claims process. Perform other duties as assigned, approved by Operations, HR, and Executive Teams.
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of wireless/wireline construction safety experience (preferred).
- Minimum 3-5 years in telecommunications and/or tower industry (preferred).
- Experience/knowledge in safety and risk management.
- Fleet safety and DOT compliance experience is a plus but not required.
- Valid driver’s license and driving record meeting MasTec policies.
- Authorization to work in the US.
- Certifications in Fall Protection/Rescue, First Aid/CPR, OSHA standards are a plus.
- Willingness to travel at least 60% across the MNS footprint.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and climb heights.
- Self-starter, team-oriented, personable, with strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to read construction drawings and assess compliance (preferred).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and online applications.

Salary Guidelines: $75,000-$90,000/year (DOE)
