Qualifications

  • Over 5 years in safety engineering within oil and gas, energy transition, or petrochemical industries.
  • Proficient in HSED engineering activities including hazardous area classification and fire protection.
  • Fluent in English.

?We are seeking a Senior Safety Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in large-scale EPC projects, ensuring the highest safety standards in design and execution. This position offers the opportunity to work on major energy and industrial projects, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver top-tier safety solutions.?

? Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and assess Major Accident Events and implement preventive, control, mitigation, and protection measures.
  • Lead and participate in Safety Reviews (HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, etc.) and deliver high-quality analyses.
  • Oversee Plot Plan Reviews and 3D Model Reviews to optimize safety standards.
  • Define and manage Safety Critical Elements (SCEs) and their criticality ratings.
  • Conduct hazardous area classification and implement active and passive fire protection systems .
  • Design and specify systems for toxic and flammable gas detection , firewater pumps, firefighting networks, and hydraulic balances.
  • Ensure robust personnel protection, escape, evacuation, and rescue plans .
  • Prepare technical specifications, requisitions, and evaluations for safety equipment vendors.

? Qualifications

  • Education : MSc in Engineering, preferably in Safety or Process Engineering.
  • Experience : Over 5 years in safety engineering within oil and gas, energy transition, or petrochemical industries.
  • Proficient in HSED engineering activities : hazardous area classification, active/passive fire protection, personnel protection, and more.
  • Expertise in international safety standards and codes (e.g., ISA, NFPA, API, IP, EN1473).
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills in a multicultural environment.
  • Fluent in English with proficiency in Microsoft Office and design tools.
