About the role
- We are looking for an Industrial Controller for the Global Business Unit (GBU) Soda Ash & Derivatives (SA&D). In this role, you will act as a business partner supporting the Operations team to focus on performance and facilitate decision-making. You will report to the Head of Industrial Controlling.
- This position offers a unique opportunity to join Solvay as a key Finance partner with global responsibilities in a transformative environment.
- You will be accountable for:
- Leading a team of 7 Site Controllers
- Partnering with Operations and Business to deliver performance and develop options
- Providing financial guidance and insights, communicating overall performance
- Driving the performance and management cycle (monthly results, forecasting, action plan follow-up)
- Collaborating closely with the Finance function
- Ensuring efficient processes and reliable figures, mainly around OPEX, but also Working Capital and CAPEX
- Maintaining compliance with IFRS and internal controls
- Supporting competitiveness and excellence projects

About you
- Relevant education in finance or equivalent
- Approximately 15 years of experience in Controlling
- Key competencies include:
- Experience in FP&A, understanding of actual costing, P&L, price-volume-cost analysis, cost accounting, investment profitability
- SAP knowledge, IFRS, international exposure, familiarity with Solvay internal rules (Tax, Transfer Pricing, Reporting)
- Leadership skills to develop and lead a team
- Fluency in English
