IDEMIA is seeking a Software Engineer to transform requirements into robust software in a global team. The role focuses on REST API design, system integration and building scalable Rust-based solutions.

You will work on diverse projects, contribute to architecture, perform code reviews, and support testing, deployment and maintenance within IDEMIA's Secure Transactions division. This role is based in France and requires strong English communication in international teams.

• Strong expertise in REST API design and software architecture.
• Deep knowledge of Rust and its ecosystem across domains.
• Experience with system integration and scalable software.

Responsabilités

• Writes software code using programming, scripting and databases to meet requirements and optimize performance.
• Identifies reusable components, libraries and frameworks.
• Applies best practices: coding standards, secure coding, reviews, version control, builds, testing, and operations.
• Participates in requirements analysis and estimations.
• Supports testing, deployment, maintenance, and evolutions by fixing defects and implementing enhancements.
• Builds software structure with functions, design patterns and layers.
• Documents solutions with comments, layouts, diagrams and charts.
• Contributes to software architecture through specs, studies and tech assessments.
• Codes large, complex modules to meet quality, deadlines and budgets.
• Performs design/code reviews and optimizes performance.
• Supports and promotes technical governance.
• Performs complex debugging and troubleshooting.
• Coaches and may lead a small SDE team.

Key Missions

• Uses programming, scripting and database languages to write software code that meets requirements and that optimizes software performances
• Identifies existing software components, libraries and frameworks to reuse in the solutions
• Applies knowledge of software development best practices, including coding standards, secure coding, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Contributes to requirement (functional and non-functional) analysis and estimations
• Supports software testing, deployment, maintenance, and evolution activities by correcting programming errors, responding to scope changes, and coding software enhancements
• Builds up software structure including functions, design patterns, layers, etc.
• Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing code comments, layouts, diagrams and charts
• Contributes to Software architecture (specification analysis, technical studies, technology assessment, etc.)
• Codes large and complex modules within agreed quality, deadline and cost
• Performs design and code reviews and assess software performance optimization
• Contributes and promotes the organization's technical governance
• Performs complex troubleshooting
• Coaches and can manage a small team of Software Development Engineers

Profile & Other Information

• Strong expertise inREST API design and development, software architecture, and system integration, with a focus on building scalable, maintainable, and reliable software solutions.
• Deep knowledge ofRust and its ecosystem, with a strong understanding of its strengths, limitations, and trade-offs. Proven experience applying Rust across a broad range of use cases, including systems programming, embedded software, distributed systems, and high-performance applications.
• Strong ability to design and implement robust technical solutions, make sound architectural decisions, and integrate complex systems effectively.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively in international and multidisciplinary teams.
