You will design and deliver high-quality Rust software on Linux and advocate for broader Rust adoption within internal and upstream projects. In a fully distributed environment, you will work with colleagues and open source communities to identify

Qualifications

• Rust software development on Linux with proven track record.
• Experience with distributed systems and APIs.
• Strong problem-solving and ability to work independently in distributed environments.
• Excellent English communication and collaboration across cultures.
• Willingness to travel twice a year for events.
• Degree in Computer Science, STEM, or equivalent oriented background.

Responsabilités

• Lead Rust engineering initiatives across Linux and open source projects, combining hands-on development with leadership and community collaboration.
• Design, implement, test, and document high-quality Rust software on Linux.
• Drive adoption of Rust across internal and upstream open source projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve engineering practices and collaborate with communities.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture reviews, and engineering processes.
• Deploy and operate services as needed and provide technical advocacy.
