We’re recruiting dependable, organized individuals to deliver mail on an on-call basis to various communities. If you enjoy working with the public and independently, and operating a motor vehicle in all weather conditions, you’re ready for a rewarding career and can call the open road your office.

As an on-call relief employee, you’ll work with an organization focused on growth and innovation, recognized as one of Canada’s top employers. Along with a competitive salary, you may be eligible for upcoming permanent Rural and Suburban Mail Carrier positions.

Job Responsibilities
  • Project a positive and courteous manner when dealing with customers face-to-face
  • Sort, collect, and deliver mail items safely and timely
  • Maintain knowledge of local infrastructure, roads, customers, and delivery receptacles
  • Ensure mail is safely secured
  • Process CPC products and services (Change of Address, Damaged Mail, IDB, etc.)
  • Wear Canada Post identification during delivery
  • Lift and carry items up to 50 lb/22.7 kg
  • Operate a motor vehicle in all weather conditions
Qualifications
Vehicle Requirements
  • Satisfactory safe driving record
  • Valid permanent provincial driver’s license
  • Minimum cargo capacity of 50 cu ft (1415 liters)
  • Automatic transmission, power windows, metal roof-top, accessory power outlet
  • Middle of passenger window sill between 38” and 45” from the ground; maximum interior width of 56”
  • Fifth door/hatchback (preferred)
  • Provide and maintain automobile liability insurance

Pass pre-employment tests and interview. Provide a current driver’s abstract within 30 days if selected.
