Your specific responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Support GL general accounting activities including but not limited to journal preparation, account reconciliations for Asia BUs in SSC Asia.
- Process accounting data for monthly, quarterly and annual financial closings and financial reporting to local country and HQ.
- Ensure appropriateness of accounting records and control journal entries compliance with internal controls, company policies, IFRS and statutory accounting principles.
- Support the audit processes within the department, including preparation and review for statutory, internal, and other audit / review purposes; liaise with internal and external auditors.
- Ensure the accuracy on tax compliance submission of legal entities on timely manner; engage with Tax accountant, local finance, Geo Tax team and Tax consultant.
- Manage and accomplish continuous improvement projects or ad-hoc tasks as assigned within agreed timeline; working independently or in a team as required.
Qualifications
- Suitably tertiary qualified in accounting, with degree or professional accounting certification.
- At least 5-7 years working experience in the accounting, finance or related field.
- Working knowledge and experience of using ERP systems is critical and experience with ERP implementations is highly advantageous.
- Highly self-motivated with strong analytical skills as well as a good foundation in accounting, with attention to detail and accuracy and good communication skill.
- Fluency in English essential and Chinese, and knowledge of other languages (Japanese, Korean) is a plus.
