Purpose
- You are responsible for providing technical expertise to the offshore team and to the other relevant departments. You will play a key role in driving continuous improvement initiatives, aligning them with the organization's strategic objectives, and ensuring the effective management of technical resources and processes.
- You ensure the smooth execution of maintenance and repair scope by providing techinal support to the maintenance team in defining the scope and parts and tools requirements.
Responsibilities
- You are responsible to provide technical support to the operating unit by developing actionable plans and assist in management decisions.
- You offer technical recommendations to enhance operability, increase business revenue, protect equipment, and optimize control device performance while identifying and mitigating technical risks.
- You raise Technical Notes and Guidelines as a recognized Technical Expert.
- You support regulatory agency audits, internal audits, and client audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- You contribute to Strategy and Governance by implementing best practices and following up on Class issues, regulatory requirements, and GTS.
- You drive the inventory of parts and tools, ensuring availability when needed.
- You support in the elaboration of Technical Risk Assessments (TRA) and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for processes and systems.
- You assist in Start-Up and Shut-Down procedures, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
- You support Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and propose actionable plans to address identified issues.
- You manage the results of Predictive Maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and performance.
- You support the Supply Chain in evaluating technical proposals for services and materials that differ from like-for-like or have technical deviations.
Education
- Mechanical Engineering graduation;
- Vibration analysis certification is desired.
- CREA active (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Arquitetura
- Architecture and Civil Engineering Regional Council)
Experience
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in mechanical maintenance and repair, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Experience with failure analysis and root cause investigation techniques.
- Familiarity with SAP or other enterprise asset management systems.
- Good familiarity with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Experience working in a Shorebase environment.
