Responsibilities for Roofer:

1. Transport and load/unload roofing materials in truck
2. Lay new asphalt roofing material
3. Inspect roofing for damage and perform any needed repairs
4. Clean rooftops by removing leaves, ice and other debris
5. Install insulation materials underneath roofs
6. Use hand tools such as hammers and electric staplers

Qualifications for Roofer:

1. Physical fitness level that will allow for quick movement, climbing, bending and lifting heavy loads
2. Previous experience in roofing, construction or related scope of work
3. Communication and teamwork skills including an openness to receiving feedback from superiors
4. Strong work ethic and desire to perform quality work
5. Ability to read and follow instructions
6. Endurance to spend hours working in extreme weather conditions such as heat or cold
7. Able to commute to on-site jobs
8. Have successfully completed Working at Heights (WAH) training program approved by the Ministry of Labour's Chief Prevention Officer
