Job summary

Gobano Robotics in Nantes, France, seeks a Robotic Application Engineer to improve real-world robot performance across Europe. You’ll work at the intersection of AI, robotics, and industrial operations, deploying and calibrating robotic systems at customer sites while collaborating with AI researchers to translate cutting-edge ideas into reliable products.

You’ll develop internal deployment and debugging tools, adapt the platform to new applications, and travel regularly through Europe.

Qualifications

Must have strong Python skills and solid robotics fundamentals.
Fluent English and willingness to travel regularly across Europe.
Experience deploying robotic systems and working with robotic arms.
Ability to debug hardware and software.
Hands-on experience with robotic manipulators.
Exposure to AI for robotics and motion planning is a plus.

Responsibilities

Work hand-in-hand with our AI team to validate new capabilities and improve robot behavior.
Investigate failures and engineer solutions to improve robustness, reliability, and performance.
Deploy, commission, and optimize robotic systems at customer sites across Europe.
Adapt our robotic platform to new customer applications and industrial environments.
Develop internal tools for deployment, debugging, monitoring, and data collection.
Apply robotics expertise to optimize system integration, calibration, sensing, and manipulation.
