Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government is seeking an Equipment Operator II – Grass Cutting to maintain roadside vegetation along roadways and ditches. The role includes operating tractors, performing routine equipment checks, and supporting field operations under varying weather conditions.

The incumbent will also assist with seasonal parish events, Mardi Gras cleanup, and hurricane response, while ensuring safety and compliance with organizational standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Louisiana driver’s license.
• Experience operating tractors and mowing equipment is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Operate tractors and cutting equipment to maintain roadside vegetation and ditches.
• Perform daily inspections of tractors and trucks; report issues to supervisor.
• Conduct basic maintenance on tractors and blades; assist with equipment readiness.
• Plan and execute daily cutting routes; update route status in the MGO system.
• Assists with Mardi Gras cleanup, hurricane response, and special assignments as needed.
• Complete required annual trainings (ethics, harassment prevention, diversity, cybersecurity).
