Rochester Regional Health's DeMay Living Center in Newark, NY is seeking an Off Shift Director of Nursing. The RN will lead nursing operations during evenings and nights, provide clinical guidance, and mentor staff while ensuring safe resident flow and care during weekends and holidays.

The responsibilities include staffing oversight, emergency assessment, admissions coordination, and collaboration with hospital leadership to maintain quality records and patient care.

Qualifications

• Current New York State Registered Nurse License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Minimum of two to three years of RN experience.

Responsabilités

• Oversees & assures short & long term Nursing Dept. staff schedules per established guidelines.
• Facilitates units in emergency medical assessment & care of residents including interventions, transportation & other resources needed.
• Serves as a clinical resource person to staff in problem solving, assessments, special procedures & clinical skill enhancements.
• Coordinates with the Nursing Staff resident units & admissions dept. the rapid admission of residents including obtaining evaluations as indicated.
• Serves as adjunct to staff development coordinator in promoting planned in-services to nursing staff as per master schedule/plan.
• Provides continuity of resident status with hospital supervisory staff, and Nursing Administration.
• Supervises the M.D.R. directing, interacting with residents, families and staff in providing safe, pleasant mealtime and assuring appropriate completion of required records.
• Serves as major facilitator in QA program for Nursing Dept. including completion of assessments of designated audits & resultant actions required.
